Young men often have nowhere to carry their medication in a way that can protect it from damage or loss or even in a way that friends, or anyone else they interact with, cannot actually see it.

There are numerous reasons for people neglecting to carry medication, from playing sports/jogging and swimming to simply not having enough pockets. Stigma also plays a part in the decision to leave it at home as does a belief that they will not come into contact with their allergen anyway.

Situations where it is difficult to carry medication can obviously also affect women, swimming for instance. While the project will look at the problem from the young men’s perspective, solutions could also apply to women.
